PWHL Video content

During the inaugural season of the Professional Women’s Hockey League, I worked under contract as the League Video Editor. Throughout the season I had the opportunity to create a variety of content ranging from hype game recaps, broadcast commercials advertising the league, and social content to name a few. Keep scrolling below to check out my work!

Broadcast COMMERCIALS

As the PWHL entered its inaugural season, I was tasked to create two different promotional commercials to be played during game broadcast breaks to generate hype around the league. One, titled “Just Got Started”, focuses on footage from earlier in the season. A secondary commercial was then made with updated footage from later in the season to accompany the “Just Got Started” video, and add variety to our ads. The second video is titled “Rise Up”.

Canadian Embassy Watch Party

Although my job is remote, being located in the Washington DC area allowed me to shoot an extremely cool event this season at the Canadian Embassy. The embassy hosted a PWHL watch party, which included broadcasting the Canadian teams playing that night, government officials from the cities our teams play in attendance, and fans showing up in every PWHL team jersey.

I was fortunate enough to run point on this event and be the PWHL representative on site, as well as shoot all of the footage for the event and edit it into a social piece that was amplified by the Canadian Embassy on Instagram.

Post Game Hype Reels & Recaps

An important aspect of my job as the League Video Editor is creating recap reels to be posted to social after every game played in the PWHL. This covers all six of our teams; Boston, New York, Minnesota, Toronto, Montréal, and Ottawa. Check out some of my favorites below!

Miscellaneous Video Content

The League posts various types of content for national holidays or theme nights held at games. Many times I am tasked to create videos to either recap such event, or to be posted leading up to a certain themed game or holiday, such as International Women’s Day for example.

I also create a variety of fun videos and other content for the League, such as Mic’d Up videos with players.
